Topic 1

Salvation & New Birth

The foundation of the Christian life, how we enter into God's kingdom.

John 3:5
"Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God."

Jesus to Nicodemus, new birth requires both water and Spirit.

Romans 6:4
"We were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."

Baptism is burial and resurrection, entering new life in Christ.

Romans 10:9
"If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

Salvation rooted in heart belief and open confession.

John 20:31
"These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name."

John's stated purpose for writing his Gospel.

Ephesians 2:8-9
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast."

Salvation is God's gift entirely, received by faith, never earned.

Topic 2

The Holy Spirit

The promise of the Father, given to every believer who asks.

John 14:16-17
"I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever, the Spirit of truth."

Not a temporary visit, a permanent dwelling.

Acts 2:4
"They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."

Pentecost, the first outpouring with the sign of tongues.

Romans 8:26
"The Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."

The Spirit prays through us when we have no words.

Joel 2:28
"I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions."

The prophecy fulfilled on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:16-17).

1 Corinthians 12:13
"By one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and have all been made to drink into one Spirit."

The Spirit unites every believer into one body.

Topic 3

Faith

Without faith it is impossible to please God, here is what Scripture says about it.

Romans 10:17
"Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

Faith is not self-generated, it grows as we receive God's Word.

Hebrews 11:6
"Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."

Faith is the fundamental posture toward God.

James 2:17
"Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead."

Genuine faith is never passive, it produces action.

Mark 9:23
"Jesus said to him, 'If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.'"

A promise for every desperate believer who comes to Jesus.

Galatians 2:20
"I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God."

The Christian life is Christ living through us by faith.

Topic 4

Prayer

God hears every prayer. These verses anchor your prayer life in Scripture.

1 Thessalonians 5:17
"Pray without ceasing."

Two words that describe a lifestyle, prayer as continuous conversation with God.

James 5:16
"The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."

Prayer is not ceremonial, it is powerful when offered in faith.

Matthew 7:7-8
"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives."

Ask, seek, knock, all present tense. Keep going.

1 John 5:14-15
"This is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him."

Confidence in prayer is rooted in God's character, He hears and answers.

Jeremiah 33:3
"Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know."

God's open invitation, call on Him and He will reveal what you cannot discover alone.

Topic 5

God's Word

Scripture about Scripture, what the Bible says about its own power and purpose.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."

Every word of Scripture is God-breathed and practically useful.

Hebrews 4:12
"The word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit."

God's Word is alive, active, and penetrating.

Isaiah 55:11
"So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it."

God's Word never fails, it always accomplishes its purpose.

Psalm 119:11
"Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You."

The purpose of memorizing Scripture, God's Word guards against sin.

Joshua 1:8
"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."

God's formula for success, immersion in His Word.

Topic 6

Identity in Christ

Who you are in Christ is more real than anything the world says about you.

Romans 8:1
"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit."

Freedom from condemnation is the reality of being in Christ.

John 1:12
"As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name."

Receiving Jesus makes you a child of God, not a servant, a child.

1 Peter 2:9
"You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light."

Your identity is royal, holy, chosen, and set apart for His glory.

Romans 8:37
"In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us."

Not just survivors, more than conquerors. The victory is already won.

Colossians 2:9-10
"In Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power."

You are complete in Christ, nothing is missing from what He provides.

Topic 7

God's Love

The love of God is the foundation of everything. These verses declare it plainly.

Romans 8:38-39
"Neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Nothing in all creation can remove you from God's love.

1 John 4:8
"He who does not love does not know God, for God is love."

Love is not merely something God does, it is who He is.

Jeremiah 31:3
"Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you."

God's love for you is eternal, and it draws you to Him.

Zephaniah 3:17
"The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing."

God sings over you. He rejoices over His people with gladness.

1 John 3:1
"Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!"

John is astonished by it, stop and behold it. You are a child of God.

Topic 8

The Name of Jesus

There is power in the name above every name. These verses declare its authority.

Acts 4:12
"Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

Salvation is exclusively and completely in the name of Jesus.

John 14:13-14
"Whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it."

Praying in His name means praying according to who He is.

Colossians 3:17
"Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."

His name covers everything, every word, every action, every moment.

Acts 3:6
"Then Peter said, 'Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.'"

The early church carried no wealth but the most powerful thing in heaven and earth, His name.

Isaiah 9:6
"His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

The Messianic prophecy fulfilled in Jesus, including the name "Everlasting Father."
