God Made You on Purpose
Step 1 of 15
The God Made You On Purpose course is a discipleship journey from beginning to end. It is designed to help you understand who you are according to God’s purpose, how that identity is restored through salvation, and how it is lived out through ongoing transformation.
This course does not present identity apart from salvation, nor does it treat salvation as an ending point. Scripture teaches that new life in Christ begins through repentance, baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, and the infilling of the Holy Spirit, and continues through daily obedience and growth.
As you move through this course, you will see that identity, salvation, and sanctification are inseparably connected. Knowing who you are in God leads you to surrender. Salvation leads you into transformation. This course invites you not only to understand truth, but to walk in it.
This first lesson lays the foundation for the entire course. It helps you understand your identity and purpose so that you can clearly grasp what sin is, why it separates, and why repentance is essential in the lessons that follow.
You will be introduced to the biblical salvation message taught by the apostles in Acts 2:38, learn how the Holy Spirit empowers daily renewal, and understand how sanctification becomes a lifelong journey of walking in holiness until Jesus returns.
You will also begin learning how to recognize and respond to the different influences that shape your thoughts: God’s voice through His Word, your own thoughts, and the lies of the enemy. As you continue through the lessons, you will learn how to compare every thought with Scripture so that you can live by the Word of God rather than by feelings or impulses that can mislead you. This discernment develops over time as you grow spiritually and build a relationship with Jesus.
