A Word of Encouragement for the Journey Ahead

Lesson 1: Created with Purpose

My dear friend, as you continue on your journey of faith, let these words serve not as another lesson, but as a quiet moment of encouragement and reflection. The truths you have been exploring are not merely concepts to be learned, but life-giving realities to be embraced. My hope is that this devotional moment will help steady your heart and remind you of the beautiful work God is doing in you.

God’s gentle and intentional care over your life

You were not created by accident, nor are you walking through life unseen. Long before you took your first breath, you were known, desired, and formed with intention. Scripture tells us that you are made in God’s image and that you are His workmanship, carefully crafted by His hands. Your value was not earned by success, nor diminished by failure. It was established by God Himself.

Throughout Scripture, we see this same pattern repeated. God spoke purpose over Joseph before the prison, over Moses before the confidence, and over David before the crown. In the same way, God’s calling over your life is not dependent on your readiness or perfection. His purpose is declared before performance, secured by His faithfulness rather than your strength.

Brokenness is not evidence that God has stepped away from you. In fact, Scripture consistently shows that God draws nearest in moments of weakness. He heals the brokenhearted. He binds wounds. He does not wait for you to be whole before He comes near. Healing begins when you bring your hurt honestly before Him.

Surrender is not defeat. It is the quiet courage of opening your hands and allowing God to do what you cannot do on your own. When Scripture invites us to submit ourselves to God, it is not demanding effort but offering rest. God meets you exactly where you are, not where you think you should be.

If you are in a season that feels heavy or confusing, remember this: pressure does not mean abandonment. Like clay in the hands of a skilled potter, you are being shaped with care. God knows how much pressure to apply, when to pause, and when to begin again. Nothing in your life is
